The Miz cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase on Sunday during the Elimination Chamber following Drew McIntyre’s WWE title defense in the Elimination Chamber.
The Miz successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank and is now the new WWE Champion.
The Miz was recently interviewed by TMZ Sports and explained why he believes he should be on WWE’s Mount Rushmore.
The Miz had this to say about what it meant to become WWE Champion again:
“I read a stat yesterday, and WWE just posted it. I’m the first-ever two-time Grand Slam Champion. That means I’ve held this title [WWE Championship] twice. The Intercontinental title more than twice. The United States Championship twice. The Tag Team Championship twice. I am the only one out of anyone in the history of this business to be a two-time Grand Slam Champion. So, in my opinion, I’m on the Mount Rushmore of WWE.”
The Miz also expanded on the Mount Rushmore idea and stated who he believes should join him:
“I think you put [Hulk] Hogan, you put [John] Cena, and you can select between The Rock, [Steve] Austin, and Ric Flair.”
