Paul Wight Comments On Joining AEW
Paul Wight surprised a lot of people when he joined AEW this morning. The former Big Show looks to be wearing a lot of new hats now that he’s joined All Elite Wrestling.
While it’s said he’s not done as an in-ring performer, one of the first jobs they’ve announced for him is one of the commentators for AEW Dark: Elevation. The new YouTube show will air on Mondays, but it seems like Big Show is excited to get to work.
Following the announcement, Paul Wight (who has already changed his Twitter handle) hopped on the social media site to reveal his excitement while once again reminding people of his excitement he announced in the press release.
“It’s been amazing to watch what AEW has build in just a couple of years. AEW Dark is an incredible platform to hone the skills of up-and-coming wrestlers, but I also love that established AEW can build out their personalities and showcase themselves in new ways on Dark. It’s no exaggeration when I say that AEW is boundless.”
Paul Wight is now joining a promotion where he is now getting a creative freedom he hasn’t had in quite some time. Tony Khan seems exceptionally excited about bringing him aboard and considering how WWE has been phasing out Wight over the last few years, there’s a strong possibility that Wight is looking forward to the opportunity to compete again or at least flex some of his creative muscle.
