Cesaro Reveals Who He Would Most Like To Face At WrestleMania 37
Cesaro has been on fire in the WWE late. Over the last few weeks, the Swiss Superman has become a fixture on SmackDown and found himself one of the six competitors to compete in the Elimination Chamber for a shot at Roman Reigns’ Universal Title.
Cesaro’s constant feature in the WWE has had many wondering if he’s heading towards something at WrestleMania 37 and Corey Graves took a chance to ask him that on the After The Bell podcast. While Cesaro mentioned a few people, he seems like he’s got his eyes set on Big E and the Intercontinental Championship.
“So, to me, I would love to… a singles match at WrestleMania would mean a really lot to me. Here’s the thing, though, the locker room is full of people that I would love to have a match with. The thing is to have a match people are invested (in). Me and Seth Rollins started doing something on SmackDown, so maybe there’s something there. I always (have), in my back pocket, the best of seven between me and Sheamus, that hasn’t been decided. That’s still one that will be out there. You know, for example, Big E for the IC title, Shinsuke… a bunch… Roman is spoken for, oh Miz, he’s defending (his title) against Bobby (Lashley). We have to wait and see what happens there. So, to me, I would love to have a singles match at WrestleMania and have a good buildup and story. I feel this year it’s a big possibility.”
Since his WWE arrival, Cesaro has only competed in one singles match on a WrestleMania, last year against Drew Gulak. He’s primarily competed in tag team matches on the show, so a singles match could be the start of something great for Cesaro. Only time will tell.
