Last week on NXT, Kacy Catanzaro lost to Xia Li by referee stoppage and the NXT announce team revealed that Catanzaro had suffered a broken leg at the hands of Li. It had seemed pretty legitimate at the time, but an update on Catanzaro gives some optimism.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Catanzaro isn’t really injured. Despite the report of a broken leg, that isn’t the case.
“So, Kacy Catanzaro, they said she had a broken leg. It’s not like she’s 100%, but she’s fine, okay? So, I have no idea why they said she might have a broken leg on television.”
It’s unsure what’s going on with Kacy, but giving an injury like a broken leg could put someone off television for a while. It’s purely speculation, but some of this could be punishment for some recent controversy Catanzaro got herself into. For now, she might not be injured but she certainly isn’t going to be on television.
