Tony Khan Gives More Clues To AEW’s Newest Signing
AEW is planning on two debuts at AEW Revolution. One will be introduced in the Face of the Revolution Ladder Match, and one is being touted as a “Hall of Fame caliber” signing that will be signing a multi-year deal with All Elite Wrestling.
Tony Khan was a guest on Busted Open Radio and did drop some hints about who the surprise would be. One of the biggest hints he dropped was it was a male wrestler, so that rules out the chance we could see someone like Trish Stratus or even a Japanese star like Aja Kong. He also said the new signing was one of his all time favorite wrestlers and will do great things for AEW.
“It’s one of my favorite all-time wrestlers. I’m very excited about it.”
“Yes, I am fired up.”
“I’ll say one thing, it’s one of my all-time favorite wrestlers. I tipped this on Unrestricted, it’s a male. He’s coming, he’s gonna do great things for us. He’s committed. He’s gonna sign a contract on Sunday on pay-per-view. We’re gonna have great matches. and we’ll have all kinds of news coming out of the show. It’s gonna be cool.”
Kurt Angle dropped a curious video in a tweet that could be a hint that he’s on the way, but there’s no way to know until Sunday night. It does look like Revolution will be a night to remember. We will have coverage of the pay per view tomorrow on Bodyslam.
