Walter will now defend his NXT UK title against Ciampa on night 1 of NXT Takeover: Stand and Deliver on the 7th of April.
Following on from last week’s NXT where Walter and Imperium laid waste to Tommaso Ciampa after he and his tag team partner Timothy Thatcher turned down an offer to join Imperium the week prior. Thatcher had subsequently gone missing, with Ciampa holding Imperium responsible and calling out the former NXT UK stable, Walter would make his emphatic return, ruthlessly attacking the former NXT Champion.
As usual Ciampa is not one to turn away from a fight, heading down to the ring on last night’s NXT Ciampa would call out the NXT UK Champion to challenge him for his championship at NXT Takeover: Stand and Deliver. Walter would decline the offer, Ciampa would not take no for an answer however, smacking Walter which lead to yet another savage beating for Ciampa at the hands of Walter and Imperium, the segment finished with Walter accepting the challenge.
Walter will now defend his NXT UK title against Ciampa on night 1 of NXT Takeover: Stand and Deliver on the 7th of April. Walter is also set defend his NXT UK championship the very next day against Rampage Brown at NXT UK Prelude on the 8th April, meaning Walter will be pulling double duty on Wrestlemaina Week.
