For the first time in Cesaro’s storied WWE career, he will have a featured singles match at WrestleMania when he meets Seth Rollins on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
Some would say there’s pressure on him to deliver after all this time, especially with this match on such a high profile stage, and Cesaro definitely feels it. He knows how big this match is, in addition to how many people are out there supporting him and wanting to see him succeed. He spoke about this with Renee Paquette on her Oral Sessions podcast and revealed that not only does he feel the pressure for this, but he doesn’t want to disappoint the fans who have been calling for this moment as well.
“I feel that pressure every single day. They’re so many people that I feel support me and want me to do well that I represent, in my mind, from all over the world, and this is my first WrestleMania singles match, so of course, it’s like the pressure is on, because I want to make everybody proud. I want to show everybody that I deserve this I want to show everybody that what they believe in can happen oh, that what they believe in is happening and I am worth their support and I can actually do this, so there’s a lot of pressure. I always do but if even more because I’m like ‘Okay, I need to do this.’ I’m always under the impression of like, what can I do to get better?’ I’m never like, ‘I’m freaking awesome.’ I’m always like, ‘Oh no. I’m not that good oh, I need to do this to get better. So there’s a lot of pressure.”
Cesaro obviously knows the magnitude of the match and the moment, but with his growing momentum and support in recent weeks, it seems like we might just see the best of him at WrestleMania.
