It might be difficult for some people to consider a person underrated if they’re main eventing WrestleMania, but Stone Cold Steve Austin thinks one of the headliners of the show might be just that.
In an interview with Wrestling Inc., Steve Austin was asked about some of the current roster he’d love to face in the ring if he could. One of the people he mentioned was Roman Reigns, the current Universal Champion. Austin put over The Tribal Chief, even going as far as calling him underrated.
“There’s a lot of guys I wish I got to do business with. There’s generational gaps, but you always have those fantasy match-ups. You see what a guy’s doing and you think, ‘I could have done something with that guy. We could’ve made something really memorable. I think [Roman’s] doing great work. He’s a great performer, and sometimes he’s a little underrated. He’s phenomenal.”
Roman is walking into WrestleMania as Universal Champion against this year’s Royal Rumble winner Edge and Daniel Bryan. The odds don’t look good for him going into the match, but Roman has been known to pull out a surprise or two at WrestleMania. No doubt Steve Austin will be watching and enjoying The Head of the Table’s work.
