The WWE is set to have a first time ever match at WrestleMania when Big E defends his Intercontinental Title against his rival Apollo Crews in a Nigerian Drum Fight. The stipulation was added to the match this past Friday on SmackDown, but unfortunately for the champion, he has no idea what it is.
Big E spoke with Ariel Helwani on his MMA show, where he revealed that he’s been looking to see just what exactly he was getting into but he sadly doesn’t know.
“I’ve had a bunch of people reach out to me and ask me what this is. I’ve been reaching out to historians and googling and scouring Peacock. I think it’s a new thing and no one has explained it to me. I’ve got some work to do. Maybe I’ll learn on the fly. [I’ve agreed to a match that I don’t know what it is.] Probably not the smartest thing, but we’re going to do it.”
Like Cesaro, Big E is competing in his first ever singles match since signing with the company in 2009. Now Big E is in a featured match at WrestleMania and his first in some time without his New Day partners at his side.
