Edge Thinks Roman Reigns Should Have Ended The Undertaker’s WrestleMania Streak
One of the biggest shocks in the history of pro wrestling was the end of The Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania. When Brock Lesnar defeated him at WrestleMania XXX, fans were stunned that it had finally come to an end. If you ask WWE Hall of Famer and participant in this year’s WrestleMania main event Edge, someone else should have ended it.
Edge was speaking with SportsNation and spoke about how he didn’t have any intention of breaking Undertaker’s streak back at WrestleMania 24, adding he felt that if someone should have ended it, it should have been Roman Reigns.
“I think that should have been saved for someone who you want to strap the rocket to. And you know and you trust and is going to like… to me, Roman Reigns was the guy to do it. And that’s where it should have been done. I know I get that he’s a believable one to do it, but okay, great, this is professional wrestling. It’s not MMA. So to me, you do it with the character that you think is going to pull your cart for the next 10-15 years.”
Since his retirement, Undertaker has also expressed the sentiment that Reigns breaking the streak would have made a lot more sense. However, the past can’t be changed and while Reigns is now the 2 in Undertaker’s 25-2 instead of being the streak ender.
