Kurt Angle Says Chad Gable Is The Most Underrated Opponent He Has Faced
Kurt Angle has faced a lot of people during the course of his Hall of Fame career, but we now know the one person he considers the most underrated.
Angle did a special Q&A episode of his podcast, where a fan asked him who he considered his most underrated opponent. Angle then named WWE’s Chad Gable as that one underrated guy, and put over the talent of the former Olympian.
“I would say and I wrestled him late in my career, but I would say Chad Gable. I think that kid has so much potential and I know the company started pushing them and they laid off. I don’t know if it has to do with his size, but the guy is amazing and in real life, he could whoop any of those wrestlers’ asses. He’s a real-life badass and to not have him go to the main event level where he deserves to be, just blows my mind because he is very talented. A great technical wrestler, former Olympian, you can’t ask for anything more than that.”
Angle did tack on something after that, revealing that while he wouldn’t give this piece of advice personally, he did say that it wouldn’t hurt Gable to venture outside WWE to find another element of his personality somewhere else. Gable has often been praised by his peers for his personality work and in ring work, so it’s entirely possible Chad Gable might find the key to his potential outside the WWE.
