Luke Gallows Says He and Tama Tonga Haven’t Spoken To One Another In A While

There’s been a bit of controversy since the AEW/Impact Wrestling partnership began thanks to the alliance of Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, and The Good Brothers. The group has certainly thrived on the nostalgia of their time with The Bullet Club, the group teasing they have reunited the faction since regrouping due to the partnership.

Of course, the controversy comes from current Bullet Club member and New Japan Pro Wrestling star Tama Tonga. Tonga has publicly been enraged over the use of the imagery and allusions to the faction, denouncing the group as members. Of course, this has been all very public and a lot of people have wondered if it’s a work or a shoot, considering the friendship among the group. Luke Gallows talked to Fightful about it, and he revealed that there’s not a lot of communication between the Bullet Club in Japan and this splinter group in AEW and Impact. That doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be open to working something out. This all stemmed from being asked if he still speaks with Tonga.

“Currently no, I do not, and that’s the truth. I will say this on the issue, Machine Gun and I, as well as our other friends who’ve been roped into this, we love to make big moves and make big money. If you don’t want to jump on that train then don’t. Stay in the dust. Not my problem. That’s just how I feel about it.”

A lot of people felt there was big money in the idea of The Elite facing off against The Bullet Club following their split from the faction. Now it seems there’s an opportunity to make some money again in the process, but it’s just a matter of all parties being willing to work together.
