WWE will have a new announcer this Monday on Raw when Adnan Virk joins the Raw commentary team. Virk replaces Tom Phillips in a shakeup for the announce team that also sees Corey Graves replacing Samoa Joe.
Ringside News has reported this process started back in February when Virk auditioned back on the 5th of that month.
It was revealed WWE was big on his screen presence and his experience he brings to the table. Virk was subject to controversy over his departure from ESPN over allegedly leaking information to the media, but it was of no concern to the WWE.
While ESPN and the WWE are far different creatures, WWE believes Virk will be up to the task. It should be interesting to see how things change Monday night with the new team.
