Michael Cole carried the duty for announcing tonight on night one of WrestleMania 37, switching out with color commentators as they tend to do for whatever brand the show is at tonight’s pay per view. However, one WWE announcer was missing and we now seem to know why.
Wrestling Inc. has reported Tom Phillips, the commentator for Raw, missed tonight’s show due to a violation of COVID-19 protocols.
Neither Phillips or WWE have commented on the situation, but Phillips’ situation may now be in true limbo with him being replaced on the Raw announce team starting this Monday. He will be replaced by former ESPN anchor Adnan Virk.
