Pat McAfee Praises Bad Bunny And Discusses Their Similarities
Last night Bad Bunny shocked and impressed a lot of the WWE Universe with his in-ring debut at WrestleMania 37. Damian Priest and Bunny teamed up to defeat John Morrison and The Miz and after the match, people had talked about how impressive Bunny’s in-ring work was, comparing his impressive debut for being a celebrity to the work of Pat McAfee.
McAfee, who turned a lot of heads in his own right when he and Adam Cole squared off at NXT TakeOver XXX, had opinions of his own about Bad Bunny’s debut and spoke about it on Twitter, saying he and Bunny are cut from the same cloth. In a lengthy Twitter thread where he talked about what the opportunity meant to him, he felt it meant the same to the Grammy winner and may have won more fans over with his passion for wanting to make his opportunity count.
The thing about what I did and what Bad Bunny did is, we committed to the entertainment. We appreciated and respected the business & ourselves so much that we didn’t want to be remembered as someone who came in from the outside and botched the opp.. We wanted to give the fans an opportunity to buy in and enjoy it.. Bad Bunny killed it..& I enjoyed the absolute hell out of it
Despite Shaq saying he felt he would have the best wrestling match ever by a celebrity, McAfee and others were quick to say they felt the contrary. Even if Shaq may have his supporters who agree, he may now have some competition from Bad Bunny.
