Several WrestleMania Matches Reportedly Had Finishes Changed
WrestleMania is often an event that is locked down well in advance. The matches, the finishes, everything tends to be done well in advance. However, it seems like some last minute decisions were made for WrestleMania.
Dave Meltzer discussed this on Wrestling Observer Radio and noted several WrestleMania matches had changes before they were finalized pretty close to the show.
“I told you about two of them that were changed the last day. They were finalized, not changed, but I know two of the major matches one wasn’t until Saturday and the other wasn’t until Sunday. One of the finishes, the Randy Orton finish was changed on Sunday hours before the show I think. I think there were at least three finishes were changed.”
Bryan Alvarez chimed in and noted it could have been as high as four matches that had been changed close to the day of the show or the day of the show. It’s interesting to wonder what the original plans were for each.
