If you recall Mojo Rawley being released in last year’s COVID-19 cuts, you aren’t the only one. He, like a couple other WWE Superstars, managed to make appearances following their cuts. Now it seems Rawley is officially released.
While a tweet was made about it, Rawley’s name was added to the base article they dropped listing all of today’s releases, which now totals ten.
Many people believe that WWE wound up backtracking on Rawley’s release due to his friendship with Rob Gronkowski, with Gronk pushing for WWE to retain him. When Gronk left the WWE to return to football, there was no need for Mojo. Rawley hasn’t had a televised appearance in the WWE since June of last year.
