WWE has just announced the release of two female stars.
In a single tweet, WWE announced the release of Billie Kay and Mickie James. James has not been utilized on television much since losing a Raw Women’s Title match against Asuka where it was said she was injured. Her final appearance was during NXT TakeOver: Stand And Deliver night two.
Kay had not been utilized much following the breakup of the IIconics tag team with Peyton Royce, but found new life once she was drafted to SmackDown. Using a new storyline where she was passing out her resume to attempt to find a new partner or alliance, she last competed at WrestleMania in the women’s Tag Team Turmoil match where her partner was Carmella.
