WWE Filming Content For Aleister Black’s Return To Television
WWE made some releases today, but one name absent from the list of cuts despite not being used in quite some time is Aleister Black. The former NXT Champion hasn’t been seen since his move to SmackDown in the WWE Draft, and many fans were hoping he would find himself free to pursue his passion in pro wrestling.
However, the reason it seems he may not have been released is that WWE is planning to bring him back soon. PWInsider has reported Black has been filming content for his return to WWE television. The return vignettes seem to involving diving into his childhood.
Based on what we have heard about the vignettes, they are loosely based on Black’s childhood. There is no word when they will begin to air, but one would think it would be seen.
Black has not been seen in quite some time, following a loss to Kevin Owens. It’s thought that Black may be the victim of Bruce Prichard not wanting to utilize some of the talent Paul Heyman had been high on during this time as Executive Producer of Raw. Black has been struggling for traction on the main roster, but it seems like he may start finding some footing soon enough.
