For the last few months, one major rumor that has been swirling around is Davey Boy Smith Jr. returning to the WWE. The former WWE Tag Team Champion has blossomed outside the company, finding success in New Japan Pro Wrestling as part of a tag team with Lance Archer.
While Smith has yet to sign with the WWE, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports he is still actively talking to the WWE and they are engaged in “serious discussions.”
Regarding Davey Boy Smith Jr., at this point he has not signed here but there are serious discussions in that direction.
Smith appeared at this year’s Hall of Fame ceremony to induct his father into the WWE Hall of Fame. While nothing is set in stone, it seems like WWE has an interest in bringing back the former Hart Dynasty member.
