Roman Reigns has drawn a lot of comparisons lately to his famous cousin, The Rock. Not only have the two been the top star of the WWE as their champion, it seems like the itch for entertainment and a life in Hollywood may be another thing shared by the duo.
Reigns has had bit parts in Hobbs & Shaw, along with The Wrong Missy, but Reigns has sights on becoming a leading man. While his focus right now is the WWE and continuing to be the Universal Champion, it seems like the long game for Reigns is to head to Hollywood. This is according to Dave Meltzer as he spoke about Roman on Wrestling Observer Radio.
“Roman Reigns’ end game is to be like Dwayne Johnson — to use WWE to springboard to Hollywood when you’re done with this, absolutely. His end game is to be, maybe not Dwayne, but absolutely John Cena.”
Reigns is 35, which means there might be a timeline left on how long he wrestles, but Reigns’ designs for life after the WWE and how well they pay him is the biggest reason he hasn’t looked at AEW as a serious career option. So while Reigns continues to be the Head of the Table in the WWE, he’s hoping to find himself a second chapter in the same position in Hollywood.
