Over the weekend on Twitter, Sami Zayn revealed he pitched an idea to the WWE to wrestle Sean Waltman two years ago at SummerSlam. As we know, that idea never came to fruition, but it seems like Sean Waltman might just have some interest in making that match happen at a SummerSlam in the near future.
Waltman has made no secret of his desire to return to active in-ring competition. Waltman has gone through a lot to be improve his health and get into a position he can wrestle again, and he seems to have given a hint to Sami Zayn he wants to make it happen.
I had a few health/injury issues that needed addressing at that time. Now that I’ve taken care of them, there’s always next #SummerSlam…if that’s something people want to see. #wwe
Fans have so far been exceptionally receptive to the idea of seeing the two mix it up. Maybe it’s the nostalgia factor with the hopes of seeing a talent like Waltman return to the form that made him famous. Only time will tell what happens, but maybe we’ll seeif the 2022 Summerslam has Sean Waltman vs. Sami Zayn.
