WWE Allegedly Released Superstar For “Pouting” Over Not Being Booked For WrestleMania
WWE released ten Superstars from the company this past week, and while we’ve learned the names and a lot of reasons why, some of those releases came for other reasons.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about the releases, where the bulk of them came from just creative having nothing for them. However, he did not that a couple people were cut over their booking and how they were upset over it.
Without giving any names, Meltzer revealed someone was “pouting” about not being booked on WrestleMania, with the other one complaining about how they had been booked despite being a “marginal talent.”
“They are people that they’re not using in some cases. There are a couple of people that got cut because, how do I say it? I heard this about two different people, about one person was pouting that they were not on WrestleMania. That did not help them. Another person kinda complained about their booking. When you’re a marginal talent that’s not used and you complain about it, it’s you know, it’s not like you’re a top guy and that didn’t help their cause either. That was some of it as far as like, whatever. They’re all people that they’re not using and they’ll all be able to get work whether it was names just coming off [WWE].”
While most of these talents should land on their feet, it leaves you to wonder how much truth there is to all this and if there is definite truth, how those talents will react in new promotions after being released for complaining over how they’ve been booked.
