Mark Henry recently revealed he wanted to return to pro wrestling for one more match, and now we know a little more about his motivation for the comeback.
Mark Henry was a guest on Booker T’s Hall of Fame show and they brought up his rumored comeback. Henry talked a little more about it, revealing that he wants to have another match so he can do something he didn’t get to do the first time around – put over a young talent.
“There’s a lot of kids that didn’t get to see me wrestle, that they only saw me on YouTube, it’s been enough time that is passed. Also, I quit before I had a last match. Before I waved to everybody, I had the pink jacket on, I’m sorry I lied to y’all that I was leaving and retiring – I own it. But I did not get that match where you go and pay tribute to the fans and you go and wrestle somebody that’s up-and-coming, that’s talented and you give them what we call ‘the rub’. I didn’t do that and I feel guilty, that’s why I’m doing it.”
Henry knows some stars did the same for him, and now he wants to pay it forward. It should be interesting to see when he makes his comeback and who he faces, but he has expressed an interest in facing WALTER.
