Last night on Raw, Randy Orton and Riddle put on a top quality match, but it seems to at least one person that Orton may have hurt himself during the match.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez went through the match between the Viper and the former United States Champion and revealed a spot where he thought Orton may have been injured, which may have also altered how he wrestled the remainder of the match.
“I don’t know the extent of what happened, but Randy Orton hurt his shoulder. He was fighting out of the corner and Riddle went to give him an exploder. Randy didn’t take an exploder. He blocked it and he pulled back and did this very dramatic punch and he punched him and then from that point forward he could no longer use his right arm. He was throwing forearms with his left arm, it looked horrible. It was like that one day when he punched the mat and his shoulder went out.”
Obviously there’s no confirmation yet from the WWE, so we may have to wait and see if that’s the case. It would be a shame, as Orton has been doing some of the best work of his career over the last several months. However, it seems like some people have reason to believe Orton may have hurt himself last night on Raw.
