Backstage News On Women’s Tag Team Turmoil Match From WrestleMania

The annual women’s battle royal didn’t make WrestleMania 37 this year, and it seemed like most of the women would be kept off this year’s card, but someone made a late push for a match that was added late to the WrestleMania card. Not long before the show, they added a Women’s Tag Team Turmoil match where the winner would face Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax on night two of WrestleMania. Who got that in place?

Fightful Select has reported Natalya was responsible for pushing hard for the match to make up for the lack of the women’s battle royal this year at WrestleMania.

WWE sources have indicated that Natalya pushed hard for the Tag Team Turmoil match to be included on WrestleMania, as to feature more women on the event.

Natalya apparently pushed hard to get that match featured on WrestleMania, as the original plan was to put a #1 Contender’s match on the Smackdown go home episode. In the end, she got her way and even found her and Tamina as the victors of the match.
