Christian Cage On If He’ll Use The AEW/Impact Partnership To Revisit His Old Promotion
Christian Cage was a big part of Impact Wrestling’s early days. For a three year run between 2005-2008, Cage was a major part of the company, including being a former World Champion in the company. Now with the partnership between his new home AEW and his old home Impact Wrestling, there’s a possibility he could find his way back there. Just don’t bet on it.
Bleacher Report spoke with Cage and asked if there was a chance we’d see him return to Impact Wrestling, and despite the relationship between the two companies don’t expect him to turn up there anytime soon.
“I don’t have any plans on [returning to Impact] right now. I am solely focused on AEW, but who knows what can happen in the future. I am relatively new here. I don’t think my focus should get too far away from AEW at this point. I am committed to being part of this brand and helping it move forward.”
Christian wanted to get a chance to end his career on his terms. Now thanks to AEW, he has an opportunity to do that. He’s spoken before about how he wants to use this run to help benefit young stars in the industry, and he has a big chance to do that tonight when he faces Powerhouse Hobbs on Dynamite.
