WWE Reportedly Considering Famous Venue For This Year’s SummerSlam PPV
It was reported yesterday that this year’s WWE SummerSlam PPV will take place on August 22nd. Many also believe that SummerSlam will also kick off WWE’s return to a live touring schedule, but no official word has been issued at this time.
However, it sounds like WWE is considering a very famous arena for this year’s SummerSlam PPV.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE is considering Madison Square Garden in New York City has the venue to host this year’s SummerSlam event.
He also noted that nothing is set in stone, and also stated that he probably shouldn’t have revealed that just yet.
It was also reported today that WWE isn’t planning on returning to a live touring schedule any sooner than they previously had planned, despite AEW announcing three live touring episodes of Dynamite in July.
We will keep you updated if we hear anything else about WWE’s plans for this year’s SummerSlam PPV.
