Kris Statlander Reveals Orange Cassidy Was Originally Planned To Appear From Claw Machine During Arcade Anarchy Match
Kris Statlander returned from injury on the March 31st episode of AEW Dynamite when she appeared during the Arcade Anarchy Match between Orange Cassidy & Chuck Taylor against Miro and Kip Sabian.
Statlander’s return came after she had been out of action for close to a year due to injury, when she appeared by popping out of a toy iron claw machine which was outside the ring as a prop for the Arcade Anarchy Match. Statlander broke through the plexiglass, knocking it into the face of Penelope Ford, before attacking the Superbad Girl. However, it sounds like Statlander was not the original person planned to be the one to pop out of the claw machine.
Kris Statlander was recently a guest on the AEW Unrestricted podcast, where she told Tony Schiavone and Aubrey Edwards that it was originally supposed to be Orange Cassidy inside the iron claw machine.
“I know that was originally supposed to be Orange Cassidy’s spot, which I don’t get because he was in the match. Trying to think about it, would he just not be a part of the match and the entrance and then Chuck would just be getting double teamed the whole time and then Orange Cassidy pops out of it? To me, that didn’t make sense, but I don’t write or book anything, so it’s not my decision.”
