WWE Potentially Heading To Saudi Arabia Before The End Of The Year

WWE’s was last in Saudi Arabia for their Super ShowDown 2020 event. Then the pandemic hit, and international travel shutdown as well as live events. But it looks like WWE could be returning to Saudi Arabia possibly even before the end of the year.

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Sport announced yesterday that restrictions have been lifted and that the country is once again allowing fans to attend live events.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, it was noted that Saudi Arabia will likely be bringing WWE back for another big event before the end of the year.

“The big thing with Joshua and Fury is that their date is August 14th and it’s in Saudi Arabia. So, if Saudi Arabia is willing to bring them in, then that means they are gonna bring WWE in before the end of the year.”

With Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua scheduled to fight in Saudi Arabia later this year on August 14th, it appears to have opened the door for WWE’s return to the country.
