WWE Universal Title Match Not Originally Scheduled To Main Event WrestleMania Backlash PPV
Last night WWE presented their WrestleMania Backlash PPV. The show concluded with the Universal Title match between Roman Reigns and Cesaro, however it sounds like WWE made changes to the card line-up, including the Main Event.
Reports have come out that state that WWE made changes to the card prior to the show, and according to a report from Ringside News one of the changes was which match would close the show as the Main Event. Their report stated that, “the main event was not always the Universal Title match.”
Apparently, the original planned main event for last night’s WWE WrestleMania Backslash PPV, was initially scheduled to be the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Title.
WWE made the change deciding to have the show close with Roman Reigns successful Universal Title defense, and Seth Rollins run-in where he attacked Cesaro, instead of the original plan of having the event conclude with Bobby Lashley celebrating his successful WWE Title defense.
