WWE made the decision to bring back live fans at WrestleMania 37, after a long hiatus during the pandemic. However, the company hasn’t allowed fans to attend live events since, as the company once again returned to running RAW and SmackDown inside the ThunderDome.
It was reported earlier this week via Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast, that WWE is planning on returning to a live touring schedule with fans sometime in July. It was also reported that WWE has plans to hold their annual Money In The Bank PPV on July 18th, and that the company is planning for fans to be in attendance.
Zarian had also reported that WWE is working on new entrance sets to debut for both RAW and SmackDown once the company returns to a live touring schedule, which we now have a better idea when that will be.
On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez talked about WWE’s plans for bringing back fans once they start touring again. He confirmed Zarian’s report that WWE is planning for fans to be able to return in mid-July, with the go-show episode of SmackDown leading into Money In The Bank.
“Money in the Bank is going to have fans […] Friday, July 16th SmackDown is indeed the first television show with fans, so that is when they’re coming back. July 16th and then they will be there for RAW.”
WWE announced Sunday night during their WrestleMania BackLash PPV that the next pay-per-view will be Hell in a Cell, which will be taking place in June instead of it’s usual October home.
