David Finlay Interested In Exploring His Options When NJPW Contract Ends

David Finlay, who is the son of former WCW & WWE Superstar, and current WWE Producer Fit Finlay, is currently signed to New Japan Pro Wrestling. David Finlay is also competing with IMPACT Wrestling, where he is currently one half of the IMPACT World Tag Team Champions along with Juice Robinson.

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, David Finlay was discussed and Dave Meltzer commented saying that Fit Finlay had said that his son David is interested in “other stuff, whether it’s going to WWE or something else.” He added that David is “trying to explore his options.”

“Fit Finlay said that his son is interested in doing other stuff whether it’s going to WWE or something else. He’s trying to explore his options. So, that’s another thing to watch out for.”

David Finlay had previously been working with NJPW on a “handshake agreement” between 2015 and 2019. It was reported in August of last year via Fightful that Finlay had officially signed a deal with New Japan. The deal was said to have been signed around the time that Finlay was injured, which was back in February of 2020.

At the time, it wasn’t reported how long of a deal he signed with NJPW. But it sounds like David Finlay is interested exploring his options once his contract runs out.
