Drake Wuertz Aggressively Walked Out Of Triple H’s Speech Supporting Black Lives Matter Movement

More and more continues to come out regarding former NXT Referee Drake Wuertz and issues that seemingly led to his release from WWE earlier today.

It was previously reported that “no fewer than ten” NXT Superstars stated that they did not feel comfortable or safe around Drake Wuertz.

Additionally, it was said that Drake had been bringing “nuclear heat” on himself for the better part of a year. One of the many reasons, appears to be due to his reaction to Triple H’s emotional speech where he addressed and showed his support for the Black Lives Matter movement following last year’s NXT TakeOver: In Your House event.

According to a report from Sean Ross Sapp via Fightful Select, Drake Wuertz was visibly and outwardly furious during Triple H’s speech to the locker room supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. It was said that during the speech, Drake aggressively gathered up his belongings and walked out of the meeting once religions were mentioned.

“We were told that when “religions” were mentioned, Wuertz’s attitude immediately changed, and he aggressively gathered his belongings and left.”

The report added that “there were a couple of instances” where members of the NXT locker room “took exception to the way things were worded by Wuertz.”

Specifically, one of those instances included EJ Nduka, known in WWE as Ezra Judge – who was also released today, where Nduka felt the need to “get physical” with Wuertz. This wasn’t the only time something like this happened. As it was stated that there were numerous times involving people of color having to go to NXT higher ups regarding situations similar to this.

“there were numerous times when talent, specifically people of color, went to NXT higher ups about situations like this.”
