Jessamyn Duke, Vanessa Borne, And Kavita Devi Released From Their WWE Contracts
WWE has been making a lot of releases today, with “budget cuts” reported as being the reason.
So far WWE has released NXT Referees Drake Wuertz, and Jake Clemons, along with NXT Superstars Alexander Wolfe, Skyler Story, and Ezra Judge. It appears we can add three more NXT Superstars to the list of today’s “budget cuts.”
According to a report from PWInsider, which was confirmed by Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, NXT Superstars Jessamyn Duke and Vanessa Borne have been released from their WWE Contracts. In addition, Sapp has reported that Kavita Devi has also been released.
Besides being part of the NXT roster, Jessamyn Duke was also a big part of the Up Up Down Down show on YouTube, as well as being known for her part as Ronda Rousey’s Four Horsewomen group.
Vanessa Borne was called up to WWE’s main roster back in January of 2020, but the company ended up never using her. Borne’s call-up coincided with her re-signing with the company. Borne was seen backstage for numerous weeks following her call-up, but was eventually sent home as WWE had nothing for her creatively.
WWE also released Kavita Devi today. Devi was notably the first female professional wrestler of Indian nationality to wrestle in WWE.
We will keep you updated if more WWE roster cuts become known.
