AEW Rampage Isn’t Going To Be A Secondary Show, Will Be Equivalent Of Dynamite
AEW made a few big announcements yesterday. One was that Dynamite will be moving from TNT to TBS beginning January 2021. Another was the name and debut date of AEW’s third hour of television programming, AEW Rampage, which will air Friday nights on TNT starting August 13th.
AEW Owner and President Tony Khan appeared on Sirius XM’s Busted Open Radio yesterday, where he talked about AEW Rampage. He stated that he thinks the Friday night 10 PM timeslot is really good for fans, and promised that Rampage isn’t going to be a secondary show. Khan added that Rampage will be “the partner of Dynamite” and “the equivalent of Dynamite.”
“This time slot I think is really good for the fans to keep a great night for wrestling fresh on Friday nights. So at 10 p.m. you’re going to have a great option to come watch Rampage. And I promise you Rampage isn’t going to be a secondary show. Rampage is going to be the partner of Dynamite, the equivalent of Dynamite. We have these two strong franchises in Dynamite and Rampage and they are our weekly core properties.”
