Update On Brock Lesnar’s WWE Status And Whether He Figures Into Plans For SummerSlam
Brock Lesnar hasn’t appeared inside a WWE ring since his WWE Championship loss to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36 back in 2020. There have been rumors of a WWE return, especially after Lesnar was moved back to the RAW roster section from the alumni section on the company’s website.
Andrew Zarian discussed Brock Lesnar’s WWE status and whether or not we may see Lesnar appear at SummerSlam on a recent episode of the Mat Men Wrestling Podcast. Zarian reported that WWE wanted Brock for SummerSlam but for whatever reason that plan didn’t work out creative-wise. He also added that WWE wants Lesnar to commit to live shows and that the two parties are working it out and it is going to happen.
“They wanted Brock. For whatever reason, the plan didn’t work out. I believe it was creative-wise, it just wasn’t fitting. Financially, they want Brock to commit to live shows. They are working it out, it’s gonna happen. It’s not that it’s not gonna happen, it’s gonna happen unless something goes tremendously terrible, which I don’t think it will. I think we’re gonna see Brock, I just don’t think he’s needed for SummerSlam if they have this planned out already. If Brock calls them and says ‘hey I wanna do it’ then yea, they’re gonna figure it out. I don’t believe Brock’s gonna be on there…I don’t know about Brock right now. I know that he’s in the plans. They’re gonna do something with him, I just don’t know what yet.”
