A Mask Mandate Has Been Issued For Home Of SummerSlam
WWE has been hyping up and preparing the world for their upcoming SummerSlam that is to be held in Las Vegas on August 21st, but now it’s going to be a much different experience than expected with Las Vegas issuing a mask mandate after the recent uptick in covid cases nationally.
We recently reported that AEW was having concerns that mandates may cause problems for their upcoming events and now WWE may be in the same spot with Clark County issuing its mask mandate.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports that Nevada has issued a mask mandate for Clark County, home of the 2021 Summerslam. It’s being reported that both vaccinated and non-vaccinated people will have to wear masks in “Public indoor spaces” with no exceptions.
Allegiant stadium is technically an outdoor venue if the roof is on. We will have to see if this report hinders fans from attending the event. The order begins on July 30th and they did not announce how long it will last.
Clark County accounts for over 80% of positive Covid-19 cases in the state. The vaccination rate is sadly only 39%.
