Networks Said To Be Disappointed And “A Little Scared” Following WWE’s Release Of Bray Wyatt
WWE announced the release of Bray Wyatt over the weekend, with the reported reason given being “budget cuts.”
According to a report from Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men podcast, there is frustration, disappointment, and some fear internally from the networks regarding the release of Bray Wyatt, who was perceived as being a “top star”.
“On vacation so I’m a behind with stuff.
I’m hearing a lot of frustration from the networks regarding Bray release.
“Bray’s released is really disappointing and a little scary that top stars are being let go” – network source

Zarian was asked by a fan at at what level inside the networks he was hearing this from, to he replied that it was a high level executive. He added that to them “it’s perception more than anything,” and that they aren’t fans like us, they read and see the names.
“I don’t want to detail it but one is a high up executive that I get drinks with weekly. It’s perception more than anything else. Remember they are not fans like us. They read and see the names”
