As we reported yesterday Ric Flair asked and was granted his release by the WWE. WWE made it official today and announced Flair’s release.
It is being reported that Flair had been growing frustrated with WWE’s creative direction for himself and his daughter Charlotte Flair. word is this is what ultimately led to him asking for his release.
According to a report from TMZ, Flair’s WWE departure wasn’t a sudden thing. The outlet reports that the situation has been “in the works” and they both recently agreed to a mutual parting of ways.
We’re told the split has been in the works…and both sides ultimately came to an agreement recently.
So if this report is true, it means that the release was more of both sides coming to an agreement, more than just Flair asking for his release and it being granted.
