Bray Wyatt Cleared To Compete 2 Days Prior To WWE Release, Signed A New Multimillion Dollar Deal In 2020 With 90-Day Non-Compete

WWE announced the release of Bray Wyatt back on July 31st, with “budget cuts” being the reason given for letting him go from the company.

Wyatt’s release came as a surprise to many within WWE as well as for those at the networks, as he was seen by most as being a “top star” within the company as well as a a good merchandise seller when active.

According to a new report from Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, Bray Wyatt was finally cleared to return from “an undisclosed physical ailment” last Thursday before being released on Saturday. It was said that Wyatt’s absence since WrestleMania 37 was not concussion-related.

“Since WrestleMania 37 in April, Rotunda has been out with an undisclosed physical ailment, one that Sports Illustrated confirmed is not concussion-related. He was finally cleared last Thursday, then effectively fired on Saturday.”

Barrasso also reported that Bray had previously signed a multimillion-dollar deal back in 2020, and that his contract included a 90-day non-compete clause.

“He signed a new multimillion-dollar deal in 2020, yet agreed to the 90-day non-compete clause.”

With Bray reported to have a 90 day non-compete clause following his WWE release, the earliest he would be able to appear on any national television program or ppv would be October 31st.
