No other wrestler has had a meteoric rise during this global pandemic as Fuego Del Sol. From a relatively unknown wrestler to becoming one of the favorites of the AEW fanbase.

Sammy’s Vlog just like BTE has become a great way to introduce the other side of the AEW wrestlers. Dark Order were able to turn things around for them and win the fans thanks to their shenanigans on BTE. The same could be said of Fuego Del Sol with Sammy’s Vlog.
Fuego Del Sol took advantage of Sammy’s Vlog platform and has been able to tell interesting stories with it, like his feud with QT Marshall to the ongoing one of Fuego seeking an AEW contract. Those two particular stories have help Fuego establish himself to the AEW fanbase and win their hearts.
Thanks to Sammy’s Vlog, fans have been able to see another side of Fuego that sometimes Dark or Elevation don’t show for some of the non.contracted wrestlers, but with Fuego having the Vlog he has been able to gain more popularity in this last year.
Dark & Elevation
While Sammy’s Vlog help get a crossed Fuego’s personality, what you can do in.ring remains a key factory, especially for a promotion like AEW. Fuego has worked well on any role given by AEW. From a simple enhancement guy to the ocasional entertaining match on Dark or Elevation. Performances like Fuego’s selling of Wardlow’s finisher Spoils of War to the more competitive matches like the one he had with QT Marshall.
Fuego Del Sol has become one of their most reliable wrestlers for Dark and/or Elevation, and when they need someone to look strong or to put a move over, AEW knows they can count on Fuego to make it happen.
There’s a reason AEW keeps bringing Fuego back, even though he is not signed and it’s because of his hard work and consistency.
AEW Should Sign Fuego
Fuego Del Sol has become AEW’s version of the 1-2-3 Kid or Harvey Wippleman. As mentioned before, Fuego as become a reliable worker for the promotion and AEW should offer him a contract.
If AEW offers him a contract, they should take advantage of this opportunity and tell a story with it. AEW for the most part take advantage when opportunities present themselves, let’s hope this is the case too.
Fuego has taken advantage of this new popularity he had gathered with indie bookings and a lot of cool merchandise. The future looks as bright as the sun for Fuego Del Sol.
