On june 2 Ruby Riott was just one of many WWE superstars who have fell victim to “THE YEAR OF THE RELEASE”. On the WWE Women’s Riott was one of the best competitors on the brand and received praise from her peers regarding her work ethic and personality. Last month we reported that AEW’s resident Karen Vicky Guererro was lobbying for Riott to join the AEW roster.
Well, it looks like those words were heard. Since her release, Riott has been taking bookings from several indie companies and keeping herself active on social media. She is recently going by the new name Ruby Soho and has also trademarked “The Runaway”. It is now being reported she is not taking any more bookings with many pondering if she may be on her way to AEW.
According to Fightrul Select, AEW talent have been told that there is interest in bringing in Riott, now Soho. Other companies have reached out to book Soho, but she has informed them that she is no longer taking bookings.
It is also being reported that she has recently shot videos for some vignettes that should be dropping fairly soon. Her 90 non-compete clause should be ending any day now so chances are we will see her in the ring sooner than later.
