Chris Jericho’s Contract Potentially Could Be Up To End Soon
Chris Jericho has been a staple in AEW since day one of the company. He was one of the first major signees that AEW laid claim to, and he noted that before signing to AEW he negotiated with WWE until the last minute when he signed with AEW due to being offered a better deal.
As seen on Dynamite Jericho put up his career in a match against MJF at All Out. With this match being made the issue has come up of when Jericho’s deal is due to expire.
During last night’s Wrestling observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Chris Jericho had signed a three-year deal with an option for a fourth. He could leave AEW in a matter of months but giving the trajectory of AEW he is likely to sign the option.
There’s a one-year option so , in a sense, it’s up at the end of next year. so, a year-and-a-half basically left.
Jericho has already stated that when he does decide to retire we may not even know when it happens , so we will have to wait and see.
