Eddie Kingston came into AEW unknown to many wrestling fans, but once he got on the mic and cut his first promo towards Cody Rhodes he made it known he was here to stay.
Eddie Kingston is by far one of the most unique personalities in all of wrestling. His rugged hardcore urban mannerisms set him apart from others due to the fact that the promos and way he talks are obviously from the heart. Whether cutting a promo on an opponent or a bag of sour patch kids he always finds a way to draw you in with his words.
His look is another aspect that sets him apart, he’s got his own style and his rosaries are a big part of that. In a recent interview with Eddie Kingston wrestle zone got the lowdown on the meaning behind Eddie’s Rosaries.
The rosaries have been blessed by The Pope and a very, very close friend of mind gave them to me. And the other one is from a wrestler’s daughter who gave them to me. So, that’s why I keep them on when I go out. It’s not a branding or marketing thing, whatever I wear is me. There’s nobody in the back going, ‘maybe you wear this.’”
Eddie is set to take on Miro for the TNT Title at All Out on September 5th in Chicago. wem will have to see if those rosaries can bring him luck and help him secure his first title in the company.
