Over the past year, Impact Wrestling has seen some of the best ratings that they have had in a long time. Granted their relationship with AEW and the “forbidden” door have added to the uptick in ratings. Well, it seems like a star from the company is ready to move on.
According to a report from Fightful Select Acey Romero has requested his release from the company. Acey has not been on Impact TV since April’s television tapings, then he was also hospitalized with a bout of Covid 19.
As of this writing, Acey Romero is still under a per-appearance deal. He has wrestled on a few Limitless shows the past few weeks but has yet to be back in Impact.
