Budget cuts have been affecting the WWE brand in big ways over the past year now. This has been the reason given for many recent releases. Now it looks like it’s affecting WWE superstars in mores mays than u could think.
Ringside News is reporting that WWE has cut their catering crew and it is being considered a budget cut that “no one can believe.”
Ringside News is reporting that the arenas are in charge of catering for Superstars and staff during WWE events. “The selection is a little more” than pizza, hot dogs, and nachos, but “in a business that requires athletes to train and eat properly, pizza, nachos, hot dogs and arena food are not a smart budget item.”
DEGA Catering worked with WWE for a very long time, but they were part of the cuts. A tenured member of the backstage crew also told us that new catering is coming in November, but it will be “cheaper.”
We will have to see how this move affects the mood of the superstars backstage.
