Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson has been on WWE’s reader for a while now. It was reported that earlier last month Vince McMahon personally made a call to Steveson to try and sway the star athlete to join his company. Well, it seems Steveson may have liked what he heard.
Earlier today Steveson took to Twitter to announce that he had inked a deal with the WWE. Dave Meltzer has confirmed the reports and said it is still unknown if he will be starting at the pc soon or if he is still 100% with the University of Minnesota’s wrestling team.
No start date or other details were given. It’s unknown if he is done at the University of Minnesota where he won two Big Ten Conference titles and was a two-time All-American.
Earlier this week it was announced that Steveson’s little brother Bobby Steveson had signed with the company along with five other signees. details of the contract are unknown, but it will be interesting to see how Steveson will be used.
