Mick Foley Believes WWE Has A Problem With AEW

Over the past few months, fans have become increasingly frustrated and very critical of the WWE brand, with some fans comparing WWE creative to the 90’s movie Ground Hog Day, in regards to the recycled storylines and feuds that seem to never end, When on the other side of the spectrum AEW has been providing an exciting product with great storylines and fresh new perspective from its creative team.

It now looks like former WWE star and Hall Of Famer Mick Foley also may be thinking the same way. While recently speaking on a FaceBook video, Foley spoke on various problems that WWE has and how AEW is shaping up to be a better alternative to aspiring athletes.

”WWE is no longer the place for talents to aspire to. Part of it is because AEW is doing a great job of attracting great talent, proving talent, creating storylines, but part of it is a problem of your own making. I think the younger talents see the way that the development characters are cut or left by the wayside or by the way of Karrion Kross, greatly watered down or even made a joke of when they make their debuts on the main roster. It’s not broke, don’t fix it. If I was an aspiring talent now, I’m not sure that I would trust WWE Creative would do the right thing with my career. Until that changes, WWE – you got a problem.”

With all the negative backlash the WWE has been getting and with AEW riding a hot wave, one must wonder if this will give WWE creative a kick in the pants and make them work harder to improve the brand.
