Exclusive: Update On Plans For Jon Moxley And Nick Gage Program For The GCW World Championship
Last Saturday night, AEW Star Jon Moxley made a surprise appearance at GCW’s Art of War Games event in Hoffman Estates, which saw him defeat Matt Cardona for the GCW World Championship.
Following the match, Nick Gage and Jon Moxley had an in-ring stare down, then Moxley told Gage that he knows where to find him if he wants a shot at the title. Gage then cut a promo and announced that he will face Moxley for the GCW World Title in a deathmatch on October 9th at GCW’s event in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The upcoming Deathmatch between Nick Gage and Jon Moxley for the GCW World Title is not a one-off.
Sources have confirmed to me, that Jon Moxley’s surprise GCW Championship win at Art of War Games in Chicago, and subsequent challenge by Nick Gage, is the set up for an extended program between the two. The Gage/Moxley program is expected to see a series of matches leading into GCW’s flagship Spring Break show during WrestleMania weekend.
